ELIGIBILITY: All ages as of January 1, 2009. Archers may only compete in one division in one event.

 

DISCRIPTION: Competition will be held for the FITA format on Saturday, July 25 at the York Expo Center, Grandstands, 334 Carlisle Ave, York, starting at 9:30am. Competition includes separate divisions for males and females as well as for Recurve and Compound bows. Rules and equipment regulation will follow USA Archery (NAA &FITA). All outdoor classes shoot the first two distances(starting with the longer distance) at the 122cm target face (outer 10 ring), and the last two distances at the 80cm target(outer 10 ring) Please note that Bowman shoot 25 meters twice(once at each size target) All archers shoot 36 arrows at each distance.

 

ENTRY PROCEDURE: Send the entry form and $30 entry fee for the one day tournament to the Keystone State Games Office. A $10.00 discount is available (mail in only) for multiple day registrations or multiple family members registrations. Contact the KSG office at 570-823-3164 for details. Walk-on registration will not be accepted. DE, MD, and WV athletes may register in this sport by submitting an additional $10.00 out of state fee.

ELIGIBILITY: All ages as of January 1, 2009. Archers may only compete in one division in one event.

 

DESCRIPTION: Competition will be held, Sunday, July 26 at York Expo Center, Grandstands, 334 Carlisle Ave., York, starting at 10am. A 900 American round will be used for all competitions. 90 arrows will be shot as follows; 30arrows from 60 yards (5 ends of 6 arrows), 30 arrows from 50 yards (5 ends of 6 arrows), 30 arrows from 40 (5 ends of 6 arrows). Each END (6 arrows) will consist of 2 sets of 3 arrows with 50 seconds allowed for each arrow to be shot.

 

SPORT RULES: Depending on the amount of participants shooters will rotate target mats after 3 arrow sets.

PSAA Target Rules of Shooting will apply. PSAA equipment rules apply to conventional bow shooter. PSAA equipment rules apply to the compound bow shooter. Should equipment failure occur, a 5 minute repair time is allowed to the archer, and then the end will be completed.

Field glasses or scopes are permitted for spotting arrow hits. No broad heads will be permitted.

Scoring- Regulation 122cm (48 inches) 5 color target face will be used. Scoring values: gold (10-9), red (8-7), blue (6-5), black (4-3), white (2-1), and 10 ring scoring. Note: each color is divided into2 scoring areas by a thin black line. The arrow shaft must only touch the color or dividing line between scoring zones to score the higher value. Winner shall be the archer(s) scoring the highest number of points in a SINGLE ROUND.

There will be a winner in each of the age divisions, both male and female. In case of a tie, PSAA rules will apply, I.e., greatest number of scoring hits, greatest number of scoring 10’s, greatest number of 9’s, etc. In scoring disputes or questionable arrow value the field official’s decision will be final.

Arrows that hit the target but bounce out will be scored as hits as confirmed by the official according to PSAA rules.

Awards will be given following the shoot.
