Summer Games Basketball Invitational   

Location:  Various Gyms in York, PA  

Dates: 

Boys play on July 24—26, 2009

Girls play on July 31—August 2, 2009  

Divisions:   This year’s competition will have two separate divisions of play.  A CLUB TEAM division that IS SANCTIONED by AAU and all athletes competing must have an AAU Membership.  A SCHOLASTIC division which is determined by the athlete’s grade and is NOT an AAU SANCTIONED EVENT.  

Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals will be awarded in both divisions

BOYS TEAMS:

Saturday July 25—Sunday July 26            

11U, 12U, 13U, 14U, 15U – each age group will bring a Max of 9 Teams

Age groups ONLY – we are not going to follow the grade criteria because it is a summer event  

GIRLS TEAMS:

Saturday Aug. 1—Sunday Aug. 2

ELIGIBILITY:

All teams that participate in AAU Boys’ & Girls’ Basketball from all Districts & States are ELIGIBLE to enter the KSG Basketball Invitational: Club Division EXCEPTION: Division I National qualifying teams are not eligible!  

COSTS:  $300 per team - Note: All Players and Coaches Must Have 2009 AAU Membership Cards That Must Be Shown at Check In.

REGISTRATION:  NOW OPEN – Teams may register online at www.keystonegames.com or send an Entry form with Payment to: Keystone State Games, Inc. | PO Box 1166 | Wilkes-Barre, PA  18702—DEADLINE: July 10, 2009 or until Brackets Fill  

FORMAT:  3 Game Minimum—6 Game Max - Pool Play followed by Bracket Play  

SCHOLASTIC DIVISION: PA TEAMS ONLY

ELIGIBILITY: All grades as of Fall 2009, school year.  All Individuals or Teams may enter the         Scholastic Division that meet the criteria listed above.  

COSTS: $325 per Team—max players on a team is 15  

RULES of PLAY:  National High School Federation Rules (PIAA) will govern all games.

It is the intent of KSG to provide athletes with opportunities to compete and develop competitive friendships with players from regions of the state they normally would not have opportunities to meet.  Therefore, we will attempt to recruit 8 teams from the Western part of the state as well as 8 teams from the Eastern part of the state in both the Boys & Girls Scholastic Divisions.
