ELIGIBILITY: All grades as of Fall 2010 school year.  Players must be female. There is no minimum but a maximum of 18 players may be on the roster.  The number of players on the roster should be large enough to sustain a competitive team through the rigors of play and small enough to ensure all athletes get sufficient playing time throughout the competition.  NJ, DE, MD, WV, OH, & D.C. athletes are welcome to compete in 2010 Keystone Summer Games with no additional fees.   

 

DESCRIPTION: At the Summer Games the teams will compete round-robin pool play, with the top teams advancing to single elimination, or all teams may advance to single elimination depending on the number of entries.  The Grades 7-9 competition will be held Saturday, July 17 and the Open competition will be held Sunday, July 18, both at Lanco Fieldhouse, 1901 Miller Rd, East Petersburg, PA 17520.     

 

SPORT RULES: National Federation (PIAA) rules will be used for the grades 7-9 division, and NCAA rules will be used for the Open division, each with exceptions for number of players, field size, and length of games.  Any other exceptions will be covered at the pre-competition meetings.  Six players, including the goalie, are authorized on the field for each team.  Two fields are approximately 80’ x 175’ and one field is approximately 70’ x 150’.  Each game will consist of two, 15-minute halves, with a five minute halftime. Teams must provide their own uniform shirts with numbers. 

 

ENTRY PROCEDURE:

1. Complete the Team Entry Form including (1) team name, (2) division of play, (3) Team Contact’s name, address, telephone number and email address.
2. Make out a check for $300 (no cash) to the “Keystone State Games” and submit it with the Team Entry Form by the initial deadline, July 3 (postmarked, July 2). 
3. Complete the Team Roster Form when the team make-up is set.  A roster will contain a maximum of eighteen players.
4. Each player listed on the roster must sign the roster sheet.  If the athlete is under 18 years of age a parent, guardian, or responsible adult must also sign the form.
6. Registration is complete when Keystone Games has received 1) Team entry form, 2) Check for $300.00, and 3) Team roster.

 

NOTE: To expedite the team’s complete registration the Team Roster Form may be sent with the Team Entry Form and fee by the initial deadline. Roster and Release must be received by July 9.

6. A team representative must bring (if not mailed) the complete Team Roster Form to Lanco Fieldhouse
