NOTE: Golf Senior division will be held in conjunction with the PA Senior Games.

 

EVENT CODES: GF00 Individual Entry

 

ELIGIBILITY: All ages as of December 31, 2008.  Golfers may only compete in one division in one event.

 

DESCRIPTION: An 18 hole competition will be held Tuesday, July 22, at Briarwood Golf Courses, East Course, 4775 W Market Street, York.  The competition is governed by USGA rules.  All players must use golf carts, and the entry fee includes the cost of a cart.  Caddies ARE NOT allowed.

 

Walk-ons will be accepted if tee times are available.  Any entry accepted at the Competition Headquarters in the Toyota Arena or at Briarwood will be considered a walk-on entry, and will require an additional $10 walk-on fee. ENTRY PROCEDURE: Send the entry form and a $45 entry fee to the Keystone State Games office.  All entries received by the deadline, or postmarked 3 days prior to the deadline, will be accepted.  Golfers will be notified, by mail or email, of their first day tee times approximately 10 days prior to the competition.  Any entry after July 18 is considered walk-on. Walk-ons will be accepted if tee times are available for an $55 entry fee. That fee must be paid at the Toyota Arena or at Briarwood.

EVENT CODES: GF00 Individual Entry (scratch play)

 

ELIGIBILITY: All grades as of Fall of 2008, school year.  Golfers may only compete in one division in one event. 

 

DESCRIPTION:  The competition will be individual entry 54 hole stroke play competition over three days for each division, Tuesday through Thursday, July 22-24, at Briarwood Golf Courses, East Course, 4775 W. Market Street, York.

 

The competition will be governed by USGA rules.  There will be no cuts, and all players will golf 54 holes.  Caddies and golf carts ARE NOT allowed.

 

NOTE: After the deadline: (1) If any grade has 8 or more registered golfers then that grade may become a new division as long as at least 8 golfers remain in the original division; and (2) divisions will be combined if less than 4 golfers are registered in a division.

 

The stroke play competition will accept golfers from DE, MD, NJ and WV that meet the grade criteria.  There will be an additional $10 out-of-state fee required.  Walk-ons will be accepted if tee times are available.  Any entry accepted at the Competition Headquarters in the Toyota Arena or at Briarwood will be considered a walk-on entry, and will require an additional $10 walk-on fee.

ENTRY PROCEDURE:  Send the entry form and a $75 entry fee ($85 out-of-state entry) to the Keystone State Games office.  All entries received by the deadline, or postmarked 3 days prior to the deadline, will be accepted.  Golfers will be notified, by mail or email, of their first day tee times approximately 10 days prior to the competition.  Tee times for the second day will be determined by the first day scores, and tee times on day three will be a shotgun start.  Tee times will begin at 8 am on Tuesday.  If tee times are available late entries will be accepted in the KSG office up through July 18. Any entry after July 18 is considered walk-on. Walk-ons will be accepted if tee times are available for an $85 entry fee. That fee must be paid at the Toyota Arena or at Briarwood.
